Thomas Daniel Bluni, 84, of Ridge, NY, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2025. Born on November 23, 1941, in Brooklyn, NY, Thomas lived a life full of love, creativity, and dedication to his family and community.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and educator, Thomas is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Lillian Bluni. He was a proud father to Scott, Sean, Tom, and Kristen, and a loving stepfather to Adrienne. His legacy continues through his 11 cherished grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and pride.
Thomas was a graduate of St. Francis College and spent many years as a high school biology teacher at John F. Kennedy High School in Bellmore, NY, where he inspired countless students with his passion for science and his thoughtful approach to teaching. He was formerly a resident of Massapequa Park and Coram, NY, where he built lasting friendships and community ties.
Beyond the classroom, Thomas was a gifted painter whose artwork reflected his deep appreciation for beauty and detail. He also found great joy in cooking and sharing meals with his family, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
He was the brother of the late John Bluni, and is survived by his siblings Madelyn and Dominick, with whom he shared a lifelong bond.
Thomas will be remembered for his warmth, creativity, and unwavering love for his family. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
